Impacts and Benefits
Our project will result in a pilot unit for transforming waste into new raw material products. This new recycling plant will bring a twofold advantage: providing the European metallurgy sector with a solution to waste management AND supplying new raw material to non-metallurgical foundries.
This will create jobs all along the value chain, starting with the construction and the operation of the plant.
Sustainability
By essence, as CarSiFer is about recovering metals from waste, its environmental benefit seems clear compared to usual landfilling activities. And, to demonstrate the obvious, a Life Cycle Analysis will be carried on at the end of the project.
